Millennium Partners Sports Club Management LLC’s elite suite of premier health clubs is committed to helping Members achieve their fitness goals through a comprehensive balance of unrivaled programming. Our Clubs offer Members the ultimate health and wellness resources to achieve their goals including; an extensive range of amenities, industry–leading programs, access to highly experienced fitness professionals, and five-star services.  The clubs within the company’s portfolio currently include: Sports Club/LA complexes in Boston and Chestnut Hill MA, Miami FL, San Francisco CA, Washington DC and New York's Upper East Side as well as Reebok Sports Club/NY.

DEVELOPMENT

To complement our existing large-scale multi-purpose Clubs, and provide an expanded network to existing Members, the Company recently introduced a new club concept - the jewel box.   Sports Club/LA -Chestnut Hill, will be the Company’s first jewel box Club. Located minutes from downtown Boston, the Club will feature traditional fitness artfully blended with technological innovation. The jewel box concept leverages cutting-edge technology and state-of-the-art architecture to create an unrivaled fitness experience.  This breathtaking new facility has been designed to ensure that the essence and amenities of the larger clubs are creatively integrated into the new eco-friendly, technologically advanced Clubs. Marking the first of these revolutionary Clubs, plans are already underway to expand this innovative concept nationally.

Millennium Partners Sports Club Management LLC is the owner and operator of Sports Club/LA and Reebok Sports Club/NY. The Boston-based company was founded in January 2006 when Millennium Partners, a national real estate developer purchased six health Clubs from The Sports Club Company.

SMAIYRA M. MILLION, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

If Wonder Woman and Superman had a child (who ironically hated to fly) it would be Smaiyra. With over 25 years of experience in the hospitality and health club industries, Smaiyra has been engaged with the expansion of the Sports Club/LA collection since her arrival in 1998. Her crazy eye for detail and “tell it like it is” style, has brought her from GM to CEO. With her passion for 5 Star Service and her love of design and architecture, she has helped to transform steel, glass and concrete into warm environments where members and employees alike can benefit from our unique and beautiful wellness communities.

Prior to entering the health and wellness industry, Smaiyra held managerial roles with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, including international property openings and executive-level positions in both sales and operations.

Smaiyra holds a BA in International Relations from The American University.  An energetic presenter and speaker, she has lectured on diverse business topics from Creating Corporate Culture and Iconic  Branding to Leadership Development. She is also honored to have been named to the Boston Business Journals Top 100 Women Led Businesses in Massachusetts in 2011 and 2012.

Health and fitness is more than simply business for Smaiyra, it’s her personal mission to mentor and give back in the communities in which we serve. Having Chaired the 2007 Boston Heart Walk as well as leading a company initiative to create a Fun & Fit Badge for the Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts, she loves the time  connecting with other leaders in creative philanthropic pursuits.  In 2012, in partnership with Playmakers, the non-profit arm of Life Is Good, she began spearheading a one-of-a-kind program to support the health and wellness needs of the care-givers to inner city youth:  “Fit-To-Play”.

BILL MEAGHER, CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Before joining the Company, CFO Bill Meagher spent 20 years honing his financial and managerial skills in senior roles at retail and telecom giants such as iParty Retail Stores, All Seasons Services and Cignal Global Communications. In these roles, Bill reengineered processes, restructured departments, rewrote policies and revamped accounting systems.

As CFO, Bill is the Company’s supreme authority on all things related to membership accounting, finance, reporting, compensation, benefits and information technology. He also serves as the Company’s unofficial spiritual guide on the path to enlightenment through Bruce Springsteen lyrics and semi-obscure music trivia.

Bill also worked for over eight years at leading accounting firms including Ernst & Young and KPMG. He holds a BA in Economics from Middlebury College and MBA from Northeastern University.

BETTY FRANCISCO, EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, CORPORATE RELATIONS AND GENERAL COUNSEL

Part Ally McBeal, part Law and Order, Betty is the sage advisor and legal counsel for the Company’s seven health clubs, ultimate gatekeeper, and the company’s corporate compliance expert. Able to seamlessly transition from sensible sneakers to stylish heels, when she’s not blasting her quads with her trainer at the Club, Betty handles the Company’s member relations, commercial transactions, intellectual property, litigation, risk management, privacy and security, and real estate matters.

Before joining the company in 2006, Betty was a Senior Associate in the Business Law Department at Palmer & Dodge (now Edwards Wildman) representing biotech and venture capital firms in financial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and general corporate matters. Prior to that, she worked at the NY County District Attorney’s Office.

Betty holds a BA in History from Bard College, and degree joint JD and MBA from Northeastern University.  She is passionate about community service, serving as a Board member of the Boston Chapter of ALPFA, where she leads a professional development program for attorneys of color, and the YWCA Boston, where she is a member of the Governance Committee.

TERESA COFFEY-GORDON, CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER

A former marketing guru at Fidelity Investments, Ernst & Young, and New England Business Service, Teresa made the leap from finance to fitness in 2005. Bringing more than 20 years of strategic marketing, advertising and public relations experience to her role, she is at the helm of the company’s posts, tweets, likes, links, and pins.

As CMO, Teresa leads the Company’s social media, web design, brand management, business development, strategic partnerships. corporate communications and sponsorship efforts.  She is the creative mind behind the brand’s positioning, segment marketing, and Member development.

Teresa holds a BSBA and MBA from the Suffolk University. She resides in Boston, MA.

MITCH SLATER, Vice President of Asset Management

With 25 years experience, Mitch has been bringing a lot of knowledge and a little bit of funk to the clubs since coming on board in 2006. He directs, develops, executes and administers the company’s current and multi-year improvement strategies and schedules for all locations, as well as oversees building repair, maintenance and housekeeping functions.

Mitch handles logistics, forecasting and reporting for nearly 700,000 square feet of space over our six locations. Prior to joining the company, he was implementing systems, policies and procedures for Club Sports International/Wellbridge Company’s standalone and integrated commercial health and fitness facilities.

Mitch earned a BS from Florida Atlantic University. He lives in Miami, and remotely maintains a diligent watch over the physical facilities of all locations across the U.S.

Natalie Ducharme, Director of Human Resources

Natalie’s career started in the retail industry, being recruited from Boston College for the Executive Training Program at Filene’s in Boston, Massachusetts.  In 1992, she joined AT&T where she spent over 11 years starting in sales but landing in Human Resources in 1998. Natalie went on to receive a Master of Science degree in Human Resources Management in 2003 from Emmanuel College in Boston.

Natalie joined Millennium Partners Sports Club Management LLC in the summer of 2011 as the Human Resources Manager and was promoted to Director of Human Resources in the fall of 2011. She and her team ensure proper staffing levels at all the Clubs and on the Corporate Team, handle all employee relations issues, manage the recognition and performance review programs and support training efforts. She is involved with the American Heart Association and also with the Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy.  She resides on the South Shore of Massachusetts with her husband and two children.  

Brian Dougherty, National Director of Sales

Following sales management positions with Hilton Hotels & GrandLife Hospitality Co., Brian served as a consultant with DPS Sporting Club Development Co. where he and his team collectively marketed and sold more than $50 million in real estate and memberships in a single year while working on private resort projects in the Turks & Caicos and Jackson Hole, WY. Brian was subsequently based in Las Vegas as Director of North America Business Development for a division of Wyndham Worldwide before he oversaw a team of 40 as Director of Sales & Operations for a private membership club company in NYC.  Prior to joining Millennium Partners Sports Club Management LLC, Brian and his partner were based on Cape Cod in Chatham where they managed several private investments, including a 180-year-old historic property that they redeveloped and repositioned as an award-winning, luxury boutique inn.  Brian lives in Boston with his Partner Nick and two large dogs, Riley and Russell.
