Responsibilities

• Provide a fun, interesting and safe workout through one or more specialty group exercise classes or activities.
• Greet, introduce and welcome participants, and answer questions after class pursuant to our 5-Star Service Standards.
• Engage in revenue generating activities to support Club sales goals.
• Create a positive, encouraging, and enjoyable class atmosphere with instruction on body alignment, movement execution, muscle groups and corrections
• Educate participants about safe exercise techniques and constantly monitor safety.
• Acquaint new participants with class etiquette and procedures.
• Monitor participants perceived rate of exertion and proper form and technique.
• Promote classes and encourage new participants
• Participate in all department meetings and trainings, and assist in Club promotions and events.
• Engage in continuing technical improvement of class and group fitness techniques.

Qualifications

• Certification by a nationally-recognized organization, such ACE, AFAA, ACS, or fitness related degree
• Additional training in specialty formats may be required
• CPR/AED certified.
• Working knowledge of current fitness trends and safety practices.
• Well versed in a variety of classes with a flexible schedule.
• Two years experience in group exercise instruction is preferred.
• Ability to speak conversational English is required.
